Abstract
The paper considers the reliability issues of protective relay and automation devices. This paper offers an architecture of the model for analyzing fuzzy logic based protective relay and automation system. The architecture of the model consists of the following components: database; technical accounting data; fuzzyfication; fuzzy inference tools; rule base; defuzzyfication; conclusions on the analysis of functioning of protective relay and automation device. The input data of the fuzzy logic model are determined: the key indicator for assessing the proper functioning of the protective relay and automation device К1; indicator of the overall reliability of protective relay and automation device R; indicator evaluating the dependability D; indicator evaluating the security of relay protection and automation devices S; indicators specifying the average number of activations of relay protection devices or functions; and evaluation data for the proper and improper operation of relay protection devices.
