Abstract
With the development of power electronics and popularity of renewable energy, AC/DC distribution network will be an important form of future distribution network. This paper establishes the reliability model of converter station, DC transformer and DC circuit breaker. Considering distributed generations, reliability of AC/DC hybrid distribution network is evaluated by Sequential Monte Carlo Method. Taking the radiant structure as an example, the reliability of AC and AC/DC hybrid distribution network are analyzed and compared. The result shows that three reliability indexes of AC/DC hybrid distribution network are higher than that of AC distribution network. As a result of the high failure rate and fault repair time of key equipment in DC distribution network, SAIFI is worse than that of AC distribution network. With the development of power electronic components, the reliability of AC/DC hybrid power distribution network will be improved significantly.
