Abstract

Objective To analyze reliability and validity of the Caregiver Quality of Life of Index-Liver Transplant Recipients. Methods By liver transplant expert, liver transplantation nursing experts and nursing education experts consultation and discussion, acknowledgement the characteristics of liver transplant recipients' caregivers and ultimately the formation of the Caregiver Quality of Life of Index-Liver Transplant Recipients (CQOL-LTR). A total of 225 caregivers for liver transplant recipients' were investigated with the CQOL-LTR to analyze its reliability and validity. Results The Chinese version CQOL-LTR had 30 items, seven factors were extracted from the 30-item scale by using exploratory factor analysis, accounting for 59.74% of the explainable variance, and its general Cronbach α coefficient was 0.830, and the Guttman split half coefficient was between 0.802 and 0.896. Conclusions The Chinese CQOL-LTR has satisfactory reliability and validity, which could be used to measure the quality of life in liver transplant recipients' caregivers.
