Abstract
To facilitate cross-cultural research in the psychology of religion, the reliability and validity of the 7-item short form of the Francis Scale of Attitude toward Christianity was examined among a sample of 453 young people aged between 12-19 years old from standards six, seven, eight, nine and ten attending a secondary school in South Africa. Data analyses support the reliability and validity of the scale and commend it for further use among South African samples. (IFE PsychologIA: 2003 11 (1): 147-152)
