Abstract
This chapter presents a state-of-the-art literature review of the reliability of large-scale PV systems and the impacts of PV interconnection on the reliability of local distribution systems. In particular, various reliability evaluation indices and the corresponding analysis methods of the PV power generation systems, as well as the status of reliability research in terms of key components (e.g., PV modules, inverters, and energy storage systems) are detailed. Next, the development status and challenges faced by grid-connected PV systems are enumerated. Based on the previous literature, future directions for PV system reliability evaluation research are presented.
