Abstract
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are task-oriented networks. Reliable data delivery is one of their important goals. Both node failures and communication mechanisms influence reliable data delivery. However, reliability analysis based on graph models is very difficult due to the dynamic topology and distributed nature of a WSN with thousands of nodes. By decomposing the reliability problem into sub-problems, this article presents a new method for analyzing the reliability of a WSN based on a physical model. The presented method is also distributed and flexible.
