Abstract
Here, reliability of a non series–parallel system (NSPS) of seven components is evaluated by joining maximum number of components to a single component. The non series–parallel system has been converted into a simple parallel and series system by making use of the logic diagram technique. A total number of ten duplication paths have been considered and the duplication paths which contain other paths are discarded. The use of Weibull distribution has been made for the random variables associated with failure and operating times of the components. The derivations for reliability and MTSF have been obtained by making use logical reliability techniques. The arbitrary values of the parameters (including scale and shape parameters) associated with different time points are considered to examine the behavior of these reliability measures. The findings of the study have been authenticated through real life application.
