Abstract

Abstract 3D Printing (3DP) technologies are fast spreading powerful, convenient and easy to use method of producing components and parts of various shape, surface finish, colour and size. 3DP can be extended to manufacture components, parts, instruments, equipments, tools and fixture etc. of the automotive industry, aircraft industry, electronic circuits, space technologies, construction industry, interior design and architecture, fashion and bio-medical applications.3D printed human organs are being planted in life saving surgeries. In this study quality issues are investigated by reviewing past work and current practices. Control charting methods are combined with reliability analysis and Red ‘X’ theory. This study will help in determining the quality of printed parts and help manufacturers to make high quality of printers that fulfill customer’s requirements.
