Abstract
India is one of the fastest growing economies in the globe and smart grid is present electrical power system for providing economical, reliable, secure, and efficient energy consumption, distribution, transmission and generation. This paper introduces survey of traditional electrical grid, power generation and supply system in India. SG technology provides solution in India for reliability of demand side management as well as artificial intelligence technique. It also analyzes different projects based on smart grid in India as compared to globe. This paper incorporates problems and challenges in conventional electric grid which may be solved by smart grid technology.
