Abstract

The pathology of the urinary tract in dogs take on different aspects, urolithiasis and prostate lesions representing the most frequent causes for the presentation to the veterinary specialist. Urolithiasis refers to the development of uroliths along the urinary tract, which can be found in the kidneys, urethra, urinary bladder and/or ureters. The aim of this article is to describe the clinical signs and diagnostic imaging of urolithiasis and prostatic pathology in a group of dogs evaluated in the hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bucharest. Urolithiasis and the prostatic pathology are the result of complex disorders at the level of the urinary tract, but also at the level of the whole body. In practice, a complete clinical evaluation is necessary in order to apply an appropriate therapeutic approach.
