Abstract

Carbaryl-resistant Neoseiulus fallacis (Garman) were released into apple trees sprayed with carbaryl and also into unsprayed trees. Both laboratory and field tests confirmed that the resistant predatory mites became established in one season in carbaryl-sprayed trees while resistance was greatly decreased in populations where the trees were not sprayed with carbaryl.
