Abstract

The results of studying the isothermal polarization of thin polymer films of an azomethine compound (Schiff base) with varying polarization field intensity are described. Intense relaxation processes induced by space-charge accumulation in the metal-polymer near-contact zone are revealed in the studied samples. Experimental data are analyzed in terms of the relay mechanism of charge transfer in the conduction band involving deep local levels. Values of the microparameters characterizing the observed relaxation phenomena are determined.
