Abstract

We present a technique for calculating the decay rate for quarkonium..-->..Higgs boson+photon. It is applied to upsilon decay into a Higgs boson of mass in the range 7--9 GeV. Relativistic effects are accounted for by employing Bethe-Salpeter equations to determine the UPSILONbb-bar and Hbb-bar vertex functions. The decay rate is controlled by two amplitudes that interfere destructively. It is found that the ratio GAMMA(UPSILON..-->..H..gamma..)/GAMMA(UPSILON..--> mu../sup +/..mu../sup -/) is substantially smaller than that of nonrelativistic calculations.
