Abstract
A modified eikonal method (Blankenbecler-Goldberger) has been extended to perform calculations for the electron capture processes in relativistic ion-atom collisions. The results are compared with the first order Born approximation and the ordinary eikonal approximation. The relativistic effects are discussed and some conclusions are drawn.
