Abstract
The relativistic distorted-wave method has been used to calculate electron impact excitation of caesium to the (6p) 2P1/2,3/2 states with incident electron energies of 20-100 eV. Differential and integrated cross sections as well as differential Stokes' parameters and generalized STU parameters are presented. Experimental and other theoretical data with which the authors can compare their results exist only for the integrated cross sections.
