Abstract

Time-dependent relativistic mean field theory is used to describe the dynamics of a one-dimensional nuclear slab after an electromagnetic excitation. Depending on the strength of the excitation we observe harmonic oscillations, evaporation of parts of the slab and full Coulomb dissociation.
