Abstract

We have found a bug in the computer code used in this paper. It incorrectly calculated our partial-wave results (ES) of unpolarized bremsstrahlung cross sections d3 given in tables 1 and 2. For convenience, the full correct tables are given below. Note that these changes have no effect on our conclusions regarding the comparison of the partial-wave results with the experimental results. However, for both cases, with Z = 13 and Z = 79, the BHF and EHF results do not agree with our partial-wave results, since the corresponding Coulomb parameters 2 Z E2/p2 are larger than 1.02 for Z = 13 and 6.17 for Z = 79. Table 1. Comparisons of unpolarized bremsstrahlung cross sections d3 for the cases with Z = 79, T1 = 140 keV, and = 0, among our partial-wave results (ES) with the Kohn-Sham potential, the results of Bethe-Heitler approximation modified by the form-factor screening (BHF), the results of Elwert-Haug modified by the form-factor screening (EHF), and the experimental results of Faulk and Quarles. Here d3 is in units of mb sr-2, 1, 2 are in degrees, and k is in keV. Table 2. Same as table 1, except for Z = 13.
