Abstract

The relative volume of the microflora located directly on the surface of epitheliocytes in different parts of the stomach, especially the pyloroantral part, to which the name membrane microflora (MM) has been given, is increased in chronic ulcers and after vagotomy [4]. The gastric microflora and, in particular, Cc~rpylobacter pyloridis, are ascribed an important role in the development of gastritis and peptic ulcer [8, 12, 13].
