Abstract
We have measured the relative intensities of the vibro-rotational transitions of the NO laser obtained in the photodissociation of mixtures of BrNO + He. When the optical cavity is purged with dried nitrogen, many more lines appear and most of them increase their intensities. We have also studied the effect of pressure on the laser output and on the intensity of each transition. A funneling of population from the 2Π 3 2 manifold into 2Π 1 2 has been observed for the 6 → 5 and 5 → 4 bands.
