Abstract
ABSTRACT Adynamic method to control relative humidity and litter moisture in broiler housing is presented. The proposed method can allow greater and more complete control of the inside environment. The key concept is the dynamic selection of a target relative humidity based upon both a running average value of actual relative humidities for the building and the grower's assessment of current litter condition. The method was analyzed with a simulation model and demonstrated in a commercial broiler house.
