Abstract

While prior research has identified negative consequences in terms of perceived deprivation, quantitative analysis has been limited to the permanent employees who have a relatively stable position. In the context of contingent employment in public enterprise, this paper analyzes the mechanism of the relationships between the relative deprivation and work attitudes of temporary agency employees. The results of this paper show that the possibility of amelioration toward standard employment as mediator plays a key role in process that relative deprivation of temps reaches out work attitudes. At the same time, our findings demonstrate that the relation relative deprivation with work attitudes via the possibility of standard employment rely on public service motivation.
