Abstract

Fruit yields, root dry weights, and total plant dry weights of Keystone Resistant Giant and Ladybell bell peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) increased linearly as the duration of vegetative growth was extended by defloration. The fruit:total dry weight ratio increased, while the root:total dry weight ratio remained the same; the shoot:total and leaf:total ratios decreased as duration of vegetative growth increased.Key words: Pepper, defloration, flower bud abscission, vegetative, reproductive growth, Capsicum annuum L.
