Abstract
Observations in the Precambrian metamorphic terrain of the southern (Kilo) sector of the Kilo-Moto gold district, Congo region, show that the ore-bearing quartz veins occupy shears or other dislocations associated with the tangential structure produced during the older of two major periods of deformation, and are cut and displaced by younger radial structures closely related to rift faulting.
