Abstract

Introduction: Physical activity improves cognitive abilities, particularly higher order executive functions, in school-aged children. However, associations between activity or postures such as standing and executive functions among preschoolers have not been investigated. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of standing and stepping time to executive functions in 3- to 5-year-old children.
