Abstract
Objective To explore the characteristics of proinsulin secretion,hs-CRP and other correlative actors in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Eighty type 2 diabetes patients were divided into 2 groups aceordding to the level of total insulin, which in DM1 group was high,in DM2 group was not high. Fasting and 2 h sera in oral glucose tolerance test higher than those in DM2 group, being both significantly incresed compared with healthy controls (P<0.05 or P<0.01). The ratio of FPI/FCP and PPI/PCP(%) in DM2 group were both significantly higher than those of DM1 group and controls (P<0.05 or P<0.01) ; DM2 group showed lower PI levels (P<0.05 or P<0.01) and higher PI/CP ratio (P<0.05) group hs-CRP were positively correlated with PI/GP, BMI and HOMA-IR, but not correlated with FPI or PPI. Conclusions Type 2 diabetes patients are showed higher levels of PI/CP ratio than healthy controls, this is one of the characteristics of β-cell function, and this is related to inflamation factors. Key words: Type 2 diabetes; Proinsulin; hs-CRP
