Abstract
Objective To study the relationship of five big personality and bronchial asthma(asthma)with depression.Methods A total of 216 cases of asthma were investigated by schedule table SDS and NEO-PI-R.With SPSS 11.5,t-test,pearson correlation analysis and multivariable stepwise regression analysis were carried out for the collected data.Results There were significant differences in neuroticism,extraversion,openness,agreeableness and conscientiousness of personality traits between depression group cases and non-dePression group cases.Asthma with depression was significantly related to neuroticism of personality traits and was negatively related to extraversion and conscientiousness of personality traits.Depression,conscientious,positive affection,activeness and self-awareness were predicting personality factors for depression in asthma.Conclusions There are significant differences in personality traits between depression group cases and non-depression group cases.Depression,conscientiousness,positive affection,activeness and self-awareness are predicting personality factors for depression in asthma.
