Abstract

In this study, we investigate the circuit performance of a current-controlled boost DC-DC converter with the thermoelectric module (TEM). The stability of circuit operation is analyzed using the stability analysis method based on the return map, and the parameters with stable circuit operation are selected. First, the circuit model and circuit equation of a current-controlled boost DC-DC converter with a TEM is shown. Second, we defined the return map of this circuit. We analyze the stability of circuit operation using the return map, and circuit parameters that enable stable circuit operation are derived. Finally, we implement a converter suitable for the output characteristics of the TEM using the parameters with stable circuit operation obtained from the numerical simulation results, and we verify the circuit performance using the experimental results.
