Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between ultrasound appearance and histologic grades and expression of Ki-67 in breast cancer. Methods The ultrasound appearances of 104 breast carcinomas confirmed by pathology were analyzed.Immunohistochemical method was used to test the expression of Ki-67 in all the breast carcinomas analyzed the relationship between ultrasound appearance and histologic grades and expression of Ki-67 in hreast cancer. Results ( 1 ) The expression rate of Ki-67 were 73.1% ( 76/104 ).( 2 ) Among the 82 cases of invasive ductal carcinoma( IDC ),appearance rate of diameter ≥ 2 cm and Ⅱ ~ Ⅲ grade flow was higher in Ⅲ grade IDC than in Ⅱ or Ⅰ grade IDC.( 3 )Appearance rate of diameter ≥2 cm,microcalcification and axillary lymph node metastasis were higher in Ki-67-positive tumors than in Ki-67-negative tumors ( P < 0.05 ).( 4 ) Expression rate of Ki-67 was higher in Ⅲ grade IDC than in Ⅱ or Ⅰ grade IDC( P< 0.05 ).Conclusion To some extent, ultrasound appearance can reflect the histologic grade and expression of Ki-67 in breast cancer. Key words: Breast cancer; Ultrasound appearance; Histologic grades; Ki-67
