Abstract
Introduction: Swimming is a popular sport in Japan, and many Masters swimmers compete. However, shoulder injuries commonly occur during swimming. In our previous study, approximately 25% of Masters swimmers experienced shoulder injuries due to swimming. Recently, efforts have been made using ultrasound image evaluation to prevent shoulder injuries. This study aimed to clarify the relationship between abnormal findings around the shoulder revealed by ultrasound and orthopedic manual evaluation, and muscular strength.
