Abstract

Supply chain management (SCM) is one of the tools used by organisations to improve their business performances. This research aims to investigate the relationships between supply chain practices and organisations performance. Six supply chain practices are chosen in this research: customer orientation, knowledge sharing, information technology (IT) adoption, partnership, leadership and training. This study was conducted based on the service industry in Malaysia. Regression analysis was applied to test the model in this research. The findings showed that leadership, IT adoption, customer orientation and training have a significant influence on the performance of the service organisations. Our results will be useful for decision makers and top management in the service industry to formulate SCM strategies that can help them to enhance their organisation performance.
