Abstract
A Langmuir-Blodgett film of amphiphilic Ni-phthalocyanine (Pc4) was morphologically studied on the electron microscopic scale in order to develop a gas sensor responsive to NO 2. The electron microscopic examinations revealed that a single monolayer of Pc4 having its smooth surface micro-structure was capable of responding to NO 2 (100 ppm).
