Abstract

Heart failure (HF) decompensation events related to volume overload were associated with elevated filling pressures as measured in the acute clinical setting when patients were presented with clinical symptoms of congestion. However, the time course of intracardiac pressures and volume related HF events has been poorly understood. This study evaluated the relationship between the time course of intracardiac pressures and HF decompensation in patients with the implantable hemodynamic monitor (IHM).
