Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between perinatal complications of pregnant women with preeclampsia and vitamin A and Vitamin E use during pregnancy. Methods Ninety pregnant women with preeclampsia treated in the People’s Hospital of Maoming from April 2016 to August 2018 were randomly divided into the control group, observation group 1 and observation group 2 according to the order of admission with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with placebo, the patients in the observation group 1 were given vitamin A and the patients in the observation group 2 were given vitamin E soft capsule until delivery. The perinatal complications, neonatal outcomes and lipid levels of pregnant women in the three groups were compared. Results The incidence of perinatal complications in observation group 1 and observation group 2 were significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05), and the incidences of fetal distress, neonatal asphyxia and low birth weight infants in observation group 1 and observation group 2 were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.05). The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) of pregnant women in observation group 1 and observation group 2 were also significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusions There is an obvious correlation of the perinatal complications of preec lampsia women with vitamin A and vitamin E use during pregnancy. Vitamin A and vitamin E use can help reduce the incidence of perinatal complications. Key words: Preeclampsia; Pregnant women; Complications; Vitamin A; Vitamin E
