Abstract

Introduction: Falls are the second leading cause of unintentional injury death world-wide, according to the WHO 2016 Fact Sheet. 33 million people fall annually which required medical attention. Additional strategies are needed to prevent future falls from occurring among the elderly. Research has shown balance and strength are important in preventing falls, but little research has focused on the importance of muscle power output.
