Abstract

We have been reported that gall stone formation was observed in mice fed a 1% cholesterol(CH)+0.5% cholic acid(CA) diet or 1% CA diet, and CH solubilizing capacity in the bile of the of CA diet group was the same as that of the non-stone induced group, 1% CH diet group. Therefore, the involvement of other factors other than CH supersaturation is expected in gall stone formation.
