Abstract

Background & aims: Several recent reports have suggested that preconception dietary habits of infertile couples influence assisted reproduction outcome. However, although the role of dietary intake on a macro- and micronutrient level has been extensively studied, only a few studies have focused on the consumption of food groups. The study aimed to investigate whether habitual consumption of specific food groups is related to the successful outcome of an in-vitro fertilization program (IVF), in a sample of infertile women from Greece.
