Abstract

Pain and depression are key symptoms of individuals suffering from chronic pain and fibromyalgia (FM). The physiological relationship between chronic pain and depression is nevertheless not well understood. Better understanding this interaction might help in improving treatment of this challenging population. In this preliminary study, probabilistic white matter tractography has been used to explore the association between structural connectivity and clinical metrics both assessing pain and depression.
