Abstract

Dielectric breakdown of low density polyethylene under a sinus 50 Hz applied voltage is investigated. Experiments are focused on the phase of the dielectric breakdown and its correlation with charge injection. Electroluminescence and space charge measurements are used to bring some useful information about this correlation.
