Abstract

This study attempted to investigate relationships among job commitment, empowerment, and customer orientation among beauty salon workers, accumulate and analyze data and find a way to enhance management performances. For this, a self-administered questionnaire survey was performed among hair salon workers in their 20-40s. A total of 466 copies were used for the final analysis, and the results found the following: To enhance competence and management performances, there needs to be an opportunity for growth and development. In addition, the right to make autonomous decisions should be granted to the employees allowing them to decide job handling methods and procedures at their own discretion. Furthermore, they should be continuously motivated through active assistance for self-development and individual care while receiving reasonable compensation. If a plan to allow beauty salon employees to fulfill their job dutifully with a positive attitude and commitment is understood and improved, it would be a significant asset for corporate development. It is anticipated that if data from both businesses and customers are comparatively analyzed, data essential for the growth and development of the cosmetology industry and businesses could be obtained.
