Abstract
A direct relation between the infrared and Raman intensities based on a new matrix notation is presented. The matrix notation has been employed to relate the intensity data to other constants such as the mean square amplitudes of vibration (Σ), Coriolis coupling constants (XXX α) etc. A possible way of inter-correlating bond moment and bond polarizability entities is suggested.
