Abstract
ABSTRACT In this article, Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) is discussed as a theory that can be used to inform counseling leaders’ practices. RCT’s philosophy is consistent with many of the foundations of the counseling profession, including culturally-responsive counseling leadership practices, and with Chi Sigma Iota’s Leadership Principles and Practices of Leadership Excellence. Practical suggestions for how RCT can be applied in a leadership context are provided.
