Abstract

Education is indispensable for the overall development of mankind as well to provide livelihood to them. Since a long time, institutes are keep changing curriculum and taking efforts to make it industry orientated. When theory relates to practical not only it becomes a source of study with interest but also it enables making students ready for livelihood. Live projects by students are contemporary addition in this context. Extant study is to reconnoiter whether there is relationship among student doing live projects and employability as well as different variables. In this study, Primary data has collected through pan India from the students who have done live projects in 2018 to 2019. Further, Employability has taken as dependent variable and significant relationship has observed among practical skills, additional skills independent variables. For this primary data-based study responses have collected from 444 students using structured questionnaire. Structural equation modeling using Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) graphic from Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS) has been used for data analysis and it has found that students acquiring more additional skills during live projects are more related to employability. So, present syllabus is moderately correlated and there is need in India that syllabus of different universities should be changed as per industry oriented. Live projects should be mandatory subject to be included in curriculum. It is recommended from this study that if live project become part of syllabus, it can lead to increase employability.
