Abstract

The influences of neck and node blast caused by Piricularia oryzae and of sheath spot caused by Corticium sasakii on the severity of stem rot (Leptosphaeria salvinii) were studied. The severity of stem rot increases when the same stem is affected with node blast, while the resistance to the stem rot increases when it is heavily affected with neck blast. The severity of stem rot does not increase by the light damage of sheath spot, but decidedly increases by the heavy.
