Abstract

The deterioration of magnetic properties due to plastic deformation is examined as a function of the degree of cold work in the range of strains 0–0.15. The deformation mode is varied. Laboratory cold rolling without tension is compared with purely tensile deformation. The magnetic properties — measured before and after magnetic aging — are related to microstructural changes.
