Abstract
Pursuing how the exchange interaction between electrons affects the screening of the ion-ion interaction we study the elastic properties of ferromagnetic metals. We find there is very sensitive relation between the characteristic magnetization dependence of the sound velocity and the local electronic structure near the Fermi surface.
