Abstract

Aneuploidy is one of the main reasons for implantation failure and spontaneous abortion, techniques for genetic analysis are invasive and expensive. It is well accepted that embryo morphology correlates with implantation rates, implying that embryo morphology may be a predictor of chromosomal health. Recent publications indicate that kinetics in embryo development are predictive for chromosomal status (1-3). We analysed the predictive value of static morphological and cinematographic analysis for genetic status in human embryos.
