Abstract
We proposed a dynamical stability principle related to the interplay of electromagnetic and weak interactions and predict sin 2θ w in terms of the lepton and quark quantum numbers in good agreement with its empirical value. The application of our stability principle to the interplay of electromagnetic and strong interactions yields a value for the γϱ 0 transitions strength (and thus implicitly for α α s ) , which is satisfactory, if one takes into account the crudeness of the approximations involved.
