Abstract

Schools are required to provide to students with disabilities. Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, schools may have to provide an array of services such as health and medical services, residential treatment, physical and occupational therapy, specialized transportation, in-home services, and special equipment use. The article reviews the statutory and case law concerning the boundaries of these related services and advises educational consultants on how to evaluate requests for these services.
