Abstract
Objective To explore the related factors of levels of disability in patients with traumatic spinal in the emergency.Methods Two hundreds and eighty-five patients with traumatic spinal were surveyed by the self-designed questionnaire Survey on Related Factors of Disability Levels of Patients with traumatic injury and American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) from September 2011 to July 2012.Results The cases of coma patients with traumatic spinal were 57 cases of Grade A,37 cases of Grade B,44 cases of Grade C,17 cases of Grade D and 18 cases of Grade E.The degree of was compared between the coma patients and conscious patients,and the difference was statistically significant (Z =20.055,P <0.01).The patients who were encountered different transportation,trauma causes and surgery time had the different degree of injury,and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05).However,no significant difference was found in protection in the site and the time getting hospital (P > 0.05).Among patients with traumatic spinal injury,the main reasons were caused by traffic accidents,falls and crash.Conclusions In addition to direct traumatic factors,the degree in patients with traumatic spinal is affected by the improper protection for patients in the scene and transportation,the treatment of coma patients based on saving lives,the secondary transport risk increased by transportation and the delayed early surgery time.
