Abstract

In the coastal lagoons Barú, Pelado and cafio del Ahorro, the numbers of specimens of two species of benthic foraminifera, Ammotium salsum and Arenoparrella mexicana, have shown a close relationship to the amount of organic phosphorous in the sediments.
